International Communications and PR Manager

Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Part time and flexible working hours possible.

Launch our brands worldwide

The next 6 months, ILUMY will launch two new services for the global market, Zapaday and Safeberg. Your role will be to plan and execute a successful global media and community launch for these brands.

Zapaday is a time machine aka ‘mother of all calendars’. On Zapaday you can see all important facts and events for any day in the future. At the same time, Zapaday offers the world’s most comprehensive calendars on anything from festivals and sports to politics, elections, conferences, trade shows, product releases, auctions and much more. Target users include marketers, journalists, event organizers, venue owners and travelers.

Safeberg is the world’s most secure online backup service, offering ultimate privacy and reliability, high speed and competitive rates. Safeberg is designed for professionals with responsibility for safeguarding confidential data, including doctors, notaries, attorneys and government officials.

You, your role

We are looking for a quick witted, creative and well organized communications professional. You will craft the overall launch strategy, involve the right team, and plan and execute campaigns to establish contacts with journalists, bloggers and potential user communities. You are a very strong writer and you enjoy pitching to all kinds of journalists, bloggers and commentators. You will develop and publish materials targeted at specific audiences, including blog posts, video scripts, press releases and community e-mails.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record
• Extensive experience in communications and PR, with at least a basic network in media
• First class written and oral presentation skills in native English (Dutch not required)
• Attention to detail and a well organized, structured approach to work, also when under pressure
• The ability to work in a start-up environment

Web developer

We are looking for a web developer, self-learned and/or well educated.

You’ll work on state of the art projects in a relaxed high performance environment.

You are:

• Comfortable with state of the art web technology
• Skilled in XHTML, CSS, PHP, SQL development
• Ideally experienced with Python, Symfony, Google App engine,
• iPhone/iPad SDK
• Clever, well structured and creative
• Used to working with standards and version control

You have at least four years programming experience (yes, that may be at home). We offer a great team, autonomy, room to experiment, training and good coffee.
